Tinwell, Rutland Collision 8 July 1944

The above collision involved 2 C-47s from 315 TCG on exercise from RAF Spanhoe. 26 Polish paratroopers and 8 American aircrew perished.

It will be the 65th anniversary this year. Does anyone know if there are plans to formally remember this tragedy by either RAF, USAF or Polish army?

The basic details of the tragedy are on wiki which agrees with my recollection from records I saw at PRO Kew for an A level history project many years ago.
