Junior Wings Scheme

Is there anyone on the forum who participated in this scheme which I think ran in 1962/3

I started flying in 1977 at The Sherwood Flying Club, Tollerton. They had a scheme called junior wings which was a joint plan to give youngsters their first attempt at going for a ppl. The advert I saw in the local,Nottm Evening Post, offered flying scholarships to people aged 17-21 and paid for the first ten hours.

That sounds like a similar scheme
The one I was refering to was run under the umbrella of the Ministry of Aviation and Hampshire County Council. The object was to give ten hoours of flying and get the candidate solo.
