Just saw report on Ceefax so came looking for info. It could have been much worse. Still remember the Spit that just failed to pull out of a loop & exploded at Woodford Air Show circa 1990

I like how the Daily Heil is consistent with its sensationalised headlines though. Only if you read the article more closely do you find it's the only surviving Hurricane bomber conversion, not the last surviving Hurricane.

A 'Crikey' is a Westland Whirlwind not a Hurricane (2 engines not one)

The good news is no injuries to the pilot/owner, and he is hopeful of getting the aircraft back into service by June, all being well.
