Good old Dave...was always a pleasure flying with him. Shame about some of the other "egos" on the fleet though.

Thanks

Might not have seen this if it was in the 'right' place. Excellent stuff!

Fabulous vids. Pity the damn thing has gone! Ah well, back

And the world would be all the better for it. Enough of these noisy, smelly suck-blow engines. Real aeroplanes have propellers. And two sets of wings.

Excellent videos which clarified a couple of points about the operation.

Bas - had a course date as FO but, reluctantly, had to relinquish it because it would have got in the way of a subsonic command a couple of years later.

rab-k, you beat me to it, stumbled across these great vids a few months back and meant to post them.

The Captain is an excellent narrator and the FO (Les Brodie?) looks rather bored!

Can anyone date the clips at all? I would guess at mid-eighties.

They are actually clips from a production by a company called Intelligent television And Video (ITVV). his was made in about 1998 (I bought a copy) and they probably constitute a breach of copyright by being on Liv Leak and Youtube where I have seen them before

Any fan of Concorde should have the ITVV DVD in their collection - it is an absolute gem!

In addition to Captain Dave's excellent presentation, I was particularly impressed with the Senior Flight Engineer, Roger Bricknell's explanations and made me realise what a comprehensive job that was!
