Chipmunk WZ869

Hi all
Does anyone out there have Chipmunk WZ869, in there log book, as either a Pilot, Student or ATC Cadet on air expirience? We are restoring her to static display and would like to put together her history. Also, any information relating to the accident that put her wheel firmly and permanantly on the ground!
Many thanks in asvance.

Fill in the gaps!

Hi Guys

I have the following very sketchy information, and I am trying to both fill in any gaps and to add a humane aspect to her history.

25.6.1953, to 9 MU RAF Cosford.
25.8.1953, Comm Sqn RAF Colerne.
8.1.1954, 10 MU RAF Hullavington.
22.6.1955, Durham UAS.
26.6.1956, 22 MU RAF Silloth.
16.5.1956, Oxford UAS.
22.8. 1956, 20 MU Ashton Down.
15.5.1957, 5 MU RAF Kemble
7.10.1957. RAF Dishforth Stn Flight.
15.12.1957, 27 MU RAF Shawbury.
3.5.1960, RAF Flying College, Cranwell.
2.9.1965, No1 FTS RAF Linton on Ouse
20.5.1968, Accident, Cat 5, scrapped.

Over to you Guys!

WZ884 was the last RAF 'batch' Chipmunk delivered October 1953. There were a few later serials, odds-and-ends.
