Good call with the Hopfner HM13/34.

Moving on this looks like the Ambrosini S.403 Dardo?

this is my "useless" challenge because no matter what I do hpotobucket refuses to accept an URL name change and the original URL with full challenge name pops out. I think I will definitely give up and just look to your beautiful forum without participating. What a pity ("imageshack" is so much easier!)

carson1934's challenge

carson1934 you must save the image under it's file reference onto your PC then rename the file deleting any reference to the aircraft's identity before uploading it as a photobucket image.

As the file reference in your post says the aircraft is the SNCAC NC-270, so to get the thread moving it is still open house.

Hi Mel,

Could this be the Grigorovich IP-1 or possibly the I-Z?

Regards

It looks like a Grigorovich I-Z to me with removed wheel fairings.

Mel's Challenge

John.
As carson1934 confirms, it is indeed the Grigorovich I-Z. .
This photograph shows the aircraft without the cowled engine.

drawbarz has control.

Carson1234 has it - without any clues, like being the first aircraft of the Irish Air Corps. But this one went to Canada.....

Carson1234 , you have control

carson1934

P.S. My check-up was postponed!

As you quite rightly say the FFG Berlin B9 designed and built in 1943 to test the prone pilots resistance to 'g' loading. Apparenty the airframe could withstand 22g!
