I went to see the Japanese I thought it could be but at least one of them was in fact a Farman….

Would you say it is French?

Well for what its worth my initial thought was French. It's very Farman'ish but doesn't tie up with any I can find. Perhaps a Paulhan design? Why do I have a nasty feeling this is from Breguet's?

Reg, I found a 3-view (well side profile) on the web and it looks right, so at risk of being premature, I reckon you've got it .

Morning Graeme - I'm beginning to think I am the only one who has never looked at the cumulative view totals...in fact I don't even know where to look for them!

Think David is having his beauty sleep now, although arguably the nights aren't long enough for that...

Possibly, but experience says he may pop back soon as he posted his challenge very early in the evening?

Five dollars says he comes back.

Sheesh! How far back do ya sit to see that properly? Don't you find your eyes are moving left and right and up and down like a tennis match?

I'm a mere 20 inch....

I am closer to a watcher of a ping-pong match….

Skytrain, where did you find the side-view of the Doutre? Have not been able to find anything else than one line on a FlightGlobal table .

... The Doutre Stabilizer Installed on a Maurice Farman Biplane ... The new device is the Doutre "stabilizer," and is intended to effect automatic control ...
Did this Doutre fella design a plane, of just add his stabiliser to a Farman?

Graeme....abroad just for a change. Looking forward to getting back home on Friday.

Its 2253 in the UK...still want that bet??

I'm a mere 20 inch...
Wish you guys would stop boasting...I'm only on a laptop which is probably 15 ins!

That would be telling! Another useful website though! I see the photo is on Breguet's but couldn't access as I am not a member.

. Yes he did, its similar to the Farman MF something but certainly not identical. It is listed as a different type.

It's midnight here, so closing down for the night....will try to look in at some point tomorrow.

I am, but somehow messed up my password so they ban me for 15 minutes every time I try .

Control to Berlin.
Thanks Mate, but will get into semi-controlled sleep now. Back in the morning. If someone feels like posting something for the night shift, be my guest.

Good night Gentlemen.
