not a Yermolayev Yer-2, or a Cant, or a Breda, or a Pe-2. Not even a Petalykov... RR

late edit: Ah, Ken... the Chetverikov Che-1!

Nice one Martin - shame it never made it into production.

Here's my next offering. Going to break for a while but will look in a little later:

It is indeed the Beech PD183 A contender in the competition that was won by North American with the Bronco

Thanks TC!

Here's the new one.
Please note that the vertical stab is cropped in this silhouette, as it was in the (only) picture that I found.

It doesn't seem particularly well-endowed in the wing department, is it a jet-lift or roadable?

You're right, even if they were supposed to provide full lift during cruise.
Four jet engines provided lift-off power, so we are talking V/STOL.

Good morning / evening gentlemen!

How about the cruise? The same engines?

Hi.

How about the cruise? The same engines?
It figures... it really is only a sketch...

Both the engines and the challenge have something in common, inasmuch as their name (or namesake) refers to a (albeit quite different!!!) flying mammal...
