World Endurance Record Anniversary

It's coming up to the 50th Anniversary of the endurance record set by Timms and Cooke in a humble old C172B

There's a pretty good write-up in the American AOPA magazine
http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/aopa...?startpage=142 but not many people are aware that these guys stayed up for over 64 Days (yep, that's right, DAYS) without landing.
Says a lot for the C172B and for the engine, not to mention the pilots themselves.

It hasn't been beaten to this day and I guess with the cost of fuel now, possibly never will be.

Any takers????
