Canberra Query

Attached image shows PR.3 WF922 coming in to land at Boscombe Down in October 1974. Nice pic really.

Query - is there anyone here who flew, worked on or knew this particular Canberra either in its RAF days or its time with the 'Establishments'? In its RAF career it served with 82, 58, 69 and 39 Sqns from 1953 to approx 1962/3.

Regarding the pic though, if you look closely you'll notice that the fwd port camera bay door seems to be slightly open. Any guesses as to why this should be like this? Larger camera(s)? Malfunction? Modification?

Finally, this particular Canberra is preserved (in very nice state) at the Midland Aviation Museum, Coventry. It is one of only two PR.3s left in the world, (the other, WE139, is at Hendon).
