My B707 sim
Well it's in progress and lots of work left in it but its coming along. I'm in Boca Raton and would like to see if the Panam Flight Academy in Miami would rent me some time on their 707 sim to get a feel of how the 707 handles to validate my sim...we'll see.

Yes a bit more work needed as you say. Have you got a visual?
God bless the 707. They certainly don't build aircraft like that anymore. Nor do they train the pilots to the standard that flew them either!

Hey Joehunt, I am going to install 2 collimated dispays up front for now. Plan on doing a wrap around visual with 3 LCD projectors down the road. Buttkicker for now under the seats, but limited yaw and roll later on for bumps etc.
Nice thing about the Boeing narrow body cockpits is you can build any version from the 707 to 737. I have the parts for a 727-200 so I can convert it at anytime in the future. I'm about 1/4 way to having a 737-200 overhead, have everything else. Gonna be fun taking out the FE panel and putting the circuit breaker panels for the 737 down the road....way down the road.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the positive feedback, I plan on using FSX for now and possibly tweaking the flight model for the 707 (capt sim or Historical Jetliners Group).

Hey heck we could probably find and rescue an old 707 from Tuscon for about the cost of a two Big Macs, a Coke and fries.
Sure be nice to save one for a flight experience business. Hard to source the hush-kits as i don't think anyone will manufacture their hushkits now.
Golly there must be a market for nostalgic flights in DC-8/707 aircraft ?
I'd happily clip tickets.

He he...you should have seen what my buddy and I went through trying to get 707 parts....not recommended to the faint hearted! We got real lucky in most cases cuz just not much left. The 727 and 73...not so bad. My buddy at Northern Flight Sim did most of the work though...guy is incredible and it doesnt hurt to know some folks in the industry!
