1564 Flt - Request for Information

I am interested in learning more about the history of 1564 Flt, which is once again the Sea King unit in the Falklands (as it was 1982-6) and was previously a met recce unit flying Spitfires and Hurricanes in Libya and France during WWII, then a helicopter unit flying Sycamores in the Middle East.

I would be grateful for any information which people can provide, whether it be photos of any aircraft in service with the Flt (even if it's Sea Kings from the '80s), any unofficial badges or emblems or mottoes, or war stories etc.

Many thanks in advance!

Why not have an ostrich with its head in the sand!

The moto could be "Servicability is second to none."
