Anybody seen my J3 Cub or my B121?

Hi all, I'm posting this in the vain hope that somebody may have snapped a piccy of a 1946 J3 Cub G-BPPV I owned in the late 80's.

It was based at Sywell, but got around to fly-ins and the like a fair bit. When I sold it, it went to Ireland as EI-CUB, and was thrown at a stone wall and destroyed.

Of the aircraft I have owned, I have no existing pictures of G-BPPV, and also none of a Beagle Pup B121 G-AZCT, that was also based at Sywell in the mid to late 80's. I know it's a looooong shot, but a blokes got to try.

Thanks, that is a start, but unfortunately that was taken years after I owned it, and it is a totally different colour. When I owned it, the colour was overall white, with a single orange flash down the side, and black registration letters. The J3 by the way was factory standard 'Lockhaven Yellow' with black flash.

I appreciate it thanks....

Your Piper J3 Cub

Hi. I realise that your original enquiry was a very long time ago, but I wondered if the link below is of any use to you.
Before you check it out, I must stress that it only a model of (presumably), your J3 cub, but it may be of interest anyway.

Pictures of your Pup can also be found at Air-Britain : G-AZCT

A picture of the Cub in its Irish marks can be found at
Piper J3C-65 Cub, EI-CUB, Private

Hope this helps

EI-CUB

Hey i know this is an old thread, but if ur still monitoring it you may be happy to know that the J3 is currently been taken on as a project and will hopefully be fully restored in the very near future and as original as possible. Many of the parts have arrived in just last week so we can begin. If you are interested I can send you a pic of it when it is done
