Kermit, There is also Spit being restored at Feilding, a relative of Al Deere is the driving force behind it
Had a look a few months back and there were two guys working on it full time, but it seemed to me they still had a fair way to go

Brendon Deere and the restoration of PV270
Brendon Deere's Spitfire restoration is that of MkIX PV270. I believe Brendon Deere is Al Deere's nephew.
