Information sought on Wellington crash on Sunday the 25th of April 1943.
Information sought on a Vickers Wellington which crashed on Sunday the 25th of April 1943, (Easter Sunday), at Brundell’s Hill, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, England.
This was Wellington 1c X3816 No 29 OTU. On a night navex from Woolfox Lodge, crashed at Stocking Farm, Belgrave 15 minutes after take-off. (Site is near Blenheim Way, Beaumont Leys.) All five crew killed.

Many thanks Atcham Tower, that gives me a good starting point. We live a few hundred yards from the crash site, and I think it would be a good thing if the men concerned were remembered in some way localy.
I am starting by trying to make up some sort of information booklet, which I can use to make people aware of the event. There is a primary school and a church very close to the site, so maybe it could be used as a project for the kids and maybe the church could host a memeorial of some sort?
I have no expirience of this kind of thing, but we all start somewere!
