Unusual WW11 Proctor makings
Proctor Mk 111 LZ599 was used by the Air Ministry during the war, & although finished in RAF camouflage, carried civil registration G-AGLZ outlined in white, & underlined with a broad red White & Blue band.
She was lost in the English channel on 1/4/1951 when owned, & flown by civilians.
Has anyone got a good pic. of her please?
I know that somewhere there is one of her taken in 1945 by 'Aeroplane'

I do have a picture of the aircraft you describe but my scanner isn't working ). It is in the book, British Civil Aircraft 1919-1972: Volume 3 on Page 518.
The colour scheme that you have described was the standard for all British civilian aircraft during most of the war.
Incidentally, according to the 1950 edition of Civil Aircraft Markings, this aircraft was still registered to the Ministry of Civil Aviation then so I suppose that it is reasonable to think that it was still registered to them when it crashed in 1951.
Sorry about the picture but I hope that it helps.

MDLB

Good intelligence MDLB: my scanner is, so here it is, at least for a day or two.
