Jet Engines W.W.2.

I remember as a young lad who could recognise almost all allied aircraft by engine beat being absolutly facinated by the sound of air cooled piston engine combined with a gentle whine, on dashing out-side a Wellington aircraft was flying round in lazy circles with its two radials running at low revs & ajet engine whinning away in the tail, no tail turret of course, this happened over Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

Any-body know any details I cannot remember the exact year 1941-1942.
