Thumbs up Seafire flies again

I'm very surprised to see no-one has posted about this yet... But, on the 3rd of May, 60 years to the day since she first flew, Kennet Aviation's seafire took to the skies again.

After five years of hard work, it was a lovely event, with many people turning up to congratulate everyone at Kennet on their hard work. Tommy Thomson, who made the first test flight, was also on site to watch. Pete Kynsey was the test pilot this time - on the right, with Tim Manna (who owns the seafire) in the middle.

Many thanks to my colleagues for allowing me to get over to see the flight, and take a group of people closer to the runwayto watch the departure and landing.

Well done chaps!

Thanks for the pics Aerbabe.

For the record may I correct the spelling of Tommy's name, it is in fact Thompson, J. B.

A wonderful chap, with whom I enjoy a regular exchange by post and email.

Congratulations to Tim and the team, Pete the pilot, and those with vision who rescued SX336 from the Warrington scrapdump.

cheers

Mark 22, do I correctly identify you as a WWW refugee and, er, Spitfire maestro? If so welcome to PPRuNe...!

All I can think of is Warbirds World Wide. If so, not me.

Spitfire maestro... that sounds more encouraging.

WWW does indeed mean Warbirds Worldwide - I thought you used to be one of the regulars on the forum there, but I'm usually wrong!
