Beautiful end of a Spring day to hear the roar of a Merlin

I have just enjoyed seeing and hearing the Rolls Royce Spitfire PR 19 carrying out several circuits of Filton Airfield prior to landing. A beautiful sight and sound as the sun was setting on a beautiful spring evening. That coupled with seeing HM The Queen enjoying her birthday celebrations at Windsor on TV has made my day.

Not a problem it still is a beautiful sound and to see the aircraft flying is also wonderful.

No thank you. I appreciate your input. I must admit that I wasn't too sure if the Mk19 had a Merlin or Griffon. But the sight of the aircraft swayed my sentiments.

Hey Fokkerwokker,

Any chance you could give a bit more info on tomorrow's training? If it's still on I'd like to know so I could go and watch/listen/learn...

Thanks,
Screwballs
