Dick Stratton on 21 March

If anybody's in the Oxford Area, Dick Stratton will be talking to the Oxford Branch of the RAeS on the evening of Tuesday 21 March. Dick's topic is "The latter days of Saunders Roe", and his talk (using his own original slides) will encompass the flight testing of the Princess, the SR53, and SR's helicopter developments before they sold out to Westlands.

The talk starts at 1900 at Begbroke Science Park, which is signposted (to the East) from the A44 between Kidlington and Woodstock - putting the venue about half a mile from Oxford(Kidlington) airport.

Dick is one of a dwindling band of British Engineers who were at the head of some of arguably the most exciting period of British aeronautical development, he's also a fascinating speaker - I'd strongly recommend this to anybody who is able to come.

There's no admission charge, nor do you need to be an RAeS member.

Just for a taster...
