LAKER AIRWAYS and SKYTRAIN

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the connection and succession (sp?) between the two airlines.

I understand that Laker Airways was the pionner of the charter flights offering services between UK and mediterrenean resorts. Skytrain was a transatlantic carrier. The question is did one Laker Airways shut down (and why?) before the second one started offering services?

Any links that may be usefull would be most welcome.

Skytrain was the name of the service (like Flying Scotsman was a train service). The airline was always Laker Airways. See the history section here
