I should have a picture of the Wessex sitting outside RAF HQ at Aldergrove that I will hoke out for you.
Also have one of my as a young kid sitting in the cockpit of one, and now one as a slightly bigger kid in cockpit of a Puma

The Ulster Aviation Societies Wessex is in fact XR517, the aircraft is marked in 60 sqn colours, and came to us from the Transair shop at Shoreham Airport, although purchased from Everett Aviation. As to our new home, we have now moved in, but for the moment we are not allowed to disclose the location.

It was at Buraimi Oasis in the UAE - although, as the photo was taken in 70/71-ish, it was still "Trucial Oman" I think - hence my "technically incorrect".

But maybe that's what you really meant!

My dear old ma has a pic of me being winched up by one in mid sixties. I'll ask her to look it out.
