Ricky, still confused by the 262 pic - you said it might not be what we thought it was.

The 8 rocket packs were fitted below the no.1 and no. 6 engines and also on the extreme outboard sections of the centre wing panels outboard of the engines:

I thought visitors to this thread may be interested in this photograph I came across whilst checking out aircraft for the "What cockpit" thread. You dont need an A level in aircraft recce to guess, but it is a bl00dy good conversion IMHO.
