Whose Hurri and Spit?

On holiday last week, and in Houlgate on the French coast near to Honfleur on Thursday 15 Sept. At approx 1545 GMT, a formation of a Hurricane and Spitfire passed E to W along the coastline.....whose? BBMF? Going where? (just curious)

Not sure but it could be 'Merlins Over Malta', a project to fly a Spitfire and Hurricane back to the scene of their defence of Malta during WWII.
On the 14 of September at Duxford Hurricane Z5140 and Spitfire BM597 took off on the first leg of their flight to Malta.

Peter.

Thanks PB - having looked at their website, they seem to be the favourites - best of luck to them in Malta.
