Awards (question)

Hi
A relative of mine ( ann aircraft gunner )who was awarded the Queens Award for Gallantry for his actions as an aircrew member, in an accident/crash in a Washington with 15 Squadron in 1952.
My question is what is the difference between the Queens Award for Gallantry and the Queens Award for Gallantry in the Air?
Thank You in Advance for Any Help.

Correction to the above , it should read Queens Award for Meritorious Service and the other should read Queens Award for meritorious Service in the Air.
SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION CAUSED.
