Catalina over Sussex

Hi all,

I was driving home this afternoon and I saw an unusual shape in the air, when it came closer I saw the unmistakeable shape of a Catalina. It must of only been flying at about 1000ft because of the cloud base, and it was heading in a west-south-west direction. I did't realise there were any flying in the UK at the moment.

Can anyone shed some light about this for me please?
