Shuttleworth Military Pagent 2 piccies

Another cracking day out, nice to see a Harrier at Old Warden again (noisey little critters arent they) and excellent displays by all concerned especially the Skyraider and the Spitfire. Not to forget the Bleriot nearly going ballistic! (Well I though it was impressive)

The last shot is really nice, now if we can only get rid of the chippy and the lizzie it could have been taken in 1918.

Cracking stuff.

I'll be there on the Saturday, I'm easily recognisable as the 6 foot tall bald fat bloke with a big lens.

Fantastic pics guys!

Here are some more - not technically great (taken from a video), but hopefully an interesting perspective nonetheless.

Old Warden does look great from the air. its good to get a different perspective sometimes.

Looks like you arrived just as Hairyplane was taxying out for his air to air sortie with the PT22 and Maggie. What were you in?

In the R44 - had the last arrival slot at 1pm. The first 4 pics are arrival, and the last one is departure.

Mind if I ask you guys about your cameras and lenses?

After putting it off for years I finally gave up and bought a Digital SLR. Do you guys use digital? And what kind of lenses would you suggest for those amazing flying pics?

My camera is a Leica Digilux 2 so any lenses I pay out for are going to cost me an arm and a leg so I would like a little proffesional advice before I go shelling out!

Your time is appreciated.

Alex, we've got similar kit.

We both use a Canon 100-400 L IS lens and I've got a Canon 10D, Nick's got a D60. I bought my equipment after asking Nick and Damien Burke what I needed - and I have to thank them both for their help since then

I'd love a faster lens for the evening displays at Old Warden, but the prices of anything more exotic than my current lens are prohibitive.
