Thumbs up Shuttleworth Twilight Display 19th June Piccies

Another wonderful evening display at Old Warden, yet again the weather Gods smiled on us. Peter Holloway flew his new Ryan PT-22 in a display for the first time in formation with the Martlet, exhausts are for wussies. A cracking display by Denny Dobson in the Extra 300 and some superb flying by the rest of the pilots, especially dealing with the gusty wind in the tied formation. The show was closed once again by The Spit and Hurri duo, with Trevor Roche wringing out the Sea Hurricane followed another cracking display in the Spitfire by Andy Sephton. Preceded by some superb formation passes by them both.

Just a few from me for now as I have lots to do before Kemble tomorrow. Thanks once again to all involved at Old warden. See you on Independence day

Great pics, as ever, MOTF.

The Skeeter was at North Weald earlier in the day for the Air Britain fly in, which is on again today if anyone is in the area. (About 13 Jungmanns in attendance).

The Hurri and Spit displays were stunning. The three ship tied together should also be congratulated for keeping formation so well in those gusty conditions.

Airbedane: Thanks for making Clive and Tish's day by letting him sit in the Spitfire cockpit.

Again, MOTF, you've excelled yourself with your mastery of light. The PT is good, but the Lysander...............pure effing magic!!!!

You're welcome, RD, it's what the place is all about.

Thanks chaps

Rallye Driver, it was good to meet you.

Airbedane, my retinas are still buzzing after taking the Lysander. Now if only you could arrange for the sunset that appeared AFTER you had finished the display, that would be great.
