HFL/ARC Open Day at Duxford 12/06/04 Photos

Here's a selection of my photos from the HFL/ARC open day at Duxford today.

A thoroughly enjoyable event.

Duxford_Eagles.

Smashing pictures .

Has anyone any idea how the Beaufighter at Duxford is doing, is there any planned date for it to fly, it can't be soon enough in my book.

Peter.

Peter, it'll be ready when it's ready. I've taken quite a few photos of this project over the past year or so and it is progressing. I'll dig some out.

Here's a photo of the Beaufighter project yesterday. You can see that one of the cowlings is taking shape. Under the polythene sheet there's a stripped down hercules

Rob.

Thanks for the Beaufighter picture.
It looks like it will be many years before it is back in the air .

Yes indeed!

The IAC Spit TR.IX looks superb. Looking forward to seeing that one on the circuit.

I remember the Rapide, 'GJG, parked near Express Aviation at Biggin Hill in the mid-70s, painted a horrendus shade of purple as I recall and with several large rents in the fabric! CamelPilot, do you recall that? I've watched her gradual re-emergence and it's nice to see she's whole once more.
