RAF in Italy

Musing on the history of RAF operations in Italy 1943-45. Is there a good published source ?. Particularly 334 Wing - heavies out of Foggia - the Cosford Liberator is surrounded by albums and memoribilia but the a/c arrived from India so is no direct relation.
Also interested in RAF Italian/Balkan airforce Spitfire ops. Can't get to PRO so just a pointer to the best published work will do. Tks SB.

Hello Silas
I actually run the site RAF Liberator Squadrons (www.acseac.co.uk) I have a lot more information about 205 Group than is currently on the site. If you would like to post a message on my forum at the above site or mail me from the link on the site I would be glad to help you.
Regards
Gary
