Concorde G-boaa Final Trip

Breaking News
************

BBC Announce that 4th April will be something to see in and around London region, certainly close to the River Thames.

Concorde G-BOAA will make its final journey from LHR.

The route will be by road from LHR to Brentford Middlesex where it will be loaded by cranes onto a barge for transport along the Thames to the estuary and up the eastern coast of England to Scotland.

Its evenutal resting place will be the museum at East Fortune Scotland.

Apparantly wings and nosecond have already been disassembled so that the fuselage can be transported by lowloader and fit under bridges etc.

That will then be 2x Concordes that have travelled on water!

Actually it will be the third time. First F-BVFB that is currently on display at the Sinshiem Museum in Germany (travelled on the Rhein), and then also G-BOAD, that is displayed at the Intrepid Museum in NYC (travelled across the Harbour in NYC)

AB: "Ouch... I hope there was no-one hurt by the one they knocked off the edge." B-i-g Laugh

I started to look at the pics of AA but the moment I saw her nose gone and wings clipped - I closed the page. I'll wait to see her when she is back in one peice, it hurts too much to see her like that. I am planning a pilgramage to MAN when G-BOAC is ready, as she was 'mine'.

I think the tailplane and other bits of AA is sitting on two trucks tonight in the wide load bay of M1 j10.
