Question Halton 'Spitfire activity'

Anybody know what's happening at Halton? Notams had something about air display and filming - still going on or all packed up now?

Halton's where TE184 is based, isn't it? Can't imagine '184 being all that airworthy, given the photos on the Key forum and the length of time the Spitfire has sat there!

Seems clear from the posts on Key that TE184 is not involved in the 'activity', whatever that is.

I was at Duxford a couple of weeks ago and Lee Proudfoot took MH 434 (the OFMC Spitfire 9) over to Halton and back for a Fly-By. He wasn't away long and didn't land. I'll try to find out more next time I'm in there.

Thanks John - you were told right. Sadly all pretty much over now so just another day in the office tomorrow instead of a photography trip.

G-MKVB is still here in the hangar. Best information I have at the moment is that it will be leaving this Saturday (28th Feb).

Incidentally, the other resident Spitfire (G-MXVI?) is due to leave here for restoration this week, permit permitting. The engineers ran it up the other day, sounded good!
