Except that aviation in Australia is not 'thorough' it is 'particular'. |
Think the 73 was out on a quick squirt up to PN and back

I leave it to you to determine whether we have that in Australia, or something....else.... |
Shazza's had a run down to "The Cattery" Avalon airport today (Saturday). See socials for the stats.
Happy landings:ok: |
Looks like the 3rd and 4th Aircraft are on the way home as we speak. Wont be long and the fleet will be bigger vs RexJet soon and they have not even started ops yet!

Must be getting close to starting up services Is this the same trend that has lots of people adding 'back' after return, i.e. 'return back' (which is grating I must admit). |

When did 'parked' start requiring 'up' on the end of it? This seems to be a recent phenomenon, for decades I've heard people saying their car is parked, the aeroplane is parked, but now it's parked 'up'.

It's almost as if living languages change over time. Doth thou not agree? |

So parked means parked i.e. parked at the gate, parked in your driveway (car) parked at the shopping centre etc Parked up means parked long term i.e. parked up at Alice Springs, to put a vehicle in a place where it can stay for some time Parked = short term Parked up = long term Deano |

There’s a difference between languages evolving on one hand and increasing levels of illiteracy on the other. ‘Return back’ (like ‘revert back’) are just solecisms, pure and simple. ‘Should of’ (like ‘could of’) instead of ‘should have’ or ‘could have’ are just solecisms. ‘Your going to’ … ‘Just incase’… ‘I’m lead to believe’… All just solecisms. 2 + 2 will never equal 5, no matter how many innumerates say otherwise. /drift off |

On the same topic, why do most Australian airlines say ".....flight through to Sydney"? Surely it's the same context as "going to the shops". No one says "I'm going through to the shops"
