PAE’s B757 ferried to BNE a few days ago and rumour has it that the receiver had been called in.

Looks like once the work with qantas freight ended there was nothing to keep it going.

Off the subject, who has hired the UK registered DHL 767 freighter to operate in between Singapore and Melbourne with a tech stop in Darwin over the last week?

717tech 5th May 2021 00:15

Was the PAE 757 just a temporary contract? That’s a shame if so, it was a good looking machine. I’m hope those involved land with their feet.

It is doing Vaccine transports I believe.

That's not good. PAE had some GC's working for them - let's hope they can rise like a phoenix and grace the skies once more.

What/who are "GC's"?

I believe it was a victim OF the boom. The aircraft are more valuable now and a nervous shareholder saw there was more short term money in liquidating than operating.

Worried about the possibility of "trading whilst insolvent" perhaps?

needs a C check, no EDTO, one potential engine issue [big bucks] and zero reserves. aircraft #2 stored in Hungary and engines in Spain

All assets including AOC for sale by tender.

dartman2 11th Jun 2021 05:26

You can buy the jet now, its listed on Slattery's site

mates rates 11th Jun 2021 23:21

You don’t need EDTO for freighter operations

krismiler 12th Jun 2021 00:16

FEDEX might be interested in buying it as the type makes up a quarter of their fleet, and a “C” check wouldn’t be a big issue for them.

What makes you say that? Genuine question.

Think the AOC is toast as all post holders were laid off - so no AOC

The ETOPS requirement is pretty much the same for all aircraft irrespective of usage as long as its under parts 121 or 135, as noted in the FAA InFO 07004, New ETOPS Regulations:
The new ETOPS rules are now applicable to:

Part 121

• All two-engine airplanes more than 60 minutes flying time from an adequate airport (at a one-engine-inoperative cruise speed under standard conditions in still air).

All times are GMT. The time now is 09:32.
