Qantas International Head resigns

Seems a very hurried departure - two weeks including Easter.

QF management has been a dog eat dog atmosphere for some time now.

Isn't that corporate Australia Modus Operandi?

Yes, but Alan really doesn’t like it when people don’t agree with Alan.

Apparently "Ally" recently presented to Alan and the EXCO detailed analysis of the loss of revenue caused of loss of seats on specific routes after the retirement of the 747 and replacement by 787 capacity.

She specifically highlighted JNB and HND. This presentation was based on work completed by the former head of strategy who was punted under similar circumstances - that is, he was in favour of expanding the Qantas mainline business. As long time followers / sufferers of QF know - having such a position inside the business is tantamount to corporate suicide under the current senior leadership.

Anyhow the overall theme of Ally's proposal was that Qantas needs to order more 787s and go firm or otherwise on the A350-1000 for project sunrise in order to remain competitive and to not give away any more market share to competitors.

This (unfortunately for Ally) goes against Alans overall scheme to 'gaslight' Qantas mainline capacity whilst still quietly growing JQ international and the JQ asian businesses.

As with what happened to Boston Bruce, she has been immediately rissholed from the company. She is already on 'gardening leave' and had her passes and access taken from her on the day she was fired by Alan.

Most people with egos don't like when you don't agree with them.

There is more to it than this and I won’t allude any further on here.

I should hope there’s more to it. It’d be utterly heartbreaking to hear that people pushing for an expansion of mainline are being shown the door because it doesn’t align with the rest of the exec’s agenda.

Then why should we believe you?

It would appear allegedly telling the truth in a time of company wide deceit, is indeed a revolutionary act.

Mr Goyder ought be asking questions.

If so, what's the difference to previous cases?
Nothing will change. As per a previous posters response, it will be written off as "something that occurs in the business world all the time".

I would love to but won’t do it here.

I know WAY more than dragon man.

I'm not telling either.

PDR1 11th Apr 2019 08:43

I know WAY less than either of 'em, but I'll only reveal how little I know after dinner and a movie.

A cocktail...!?

How dare you!

It’d take at least 2, preferably with an umbrella...:)

Dragon man won’t talk means it’s open season on wild rumours! Game on 😛

Seriously, I hope this isn’t a public execution because someone spoke the truth to her fearless leaders.
