Hosties

Mods, please don't close me down too fast...
Have noticed that in the top left hand corner of just about every page i view on this site there is a logo that says:
"PPRuNe:
Professional Pilots Rumour Network"
this to me, would indicate that the site is a network of sorts for professional pilots... why all the cabin crew stuff?
'oh, but thats where all the pacific stuff can be talked about, blah blah blah...'
crap!
its a pilots rumour network!
what is the cost, effort, etc involved in getting a completely seperate hosties network going to save us happening across discussions on the dangers of wearing a different coloured jacket whilst handing out wine in a newely designed bottle?

it could be called Pro Ho Ho WAnCRS: Prosessional Hosties and Hospitality Workers Announcing Clever Rumours Site
(maybe not...)
in any case, i don't think it should be allowed to continue on PPRuNe.

in before thread lock...

I think it's been covered before but..... the QF hosties got themselves thrown out of the hosties forum for being unpleasant. Now, they get to hang out here because it's the aussie area and we all get to hear about new oven mitts or 'J' class crockery.

Good luck with your suggestion.

Geez HD...........

Got a death wish mate? Particularly with a PPRuNe ID like yours for the thread (WWIII?) you've just started?

Or the name for the separate forum you're suggesting should perhaps exist for topics such as those you're suggesting, that is, discussions involving:

.....the dangers of wearing a different coloured jacket whilst handing out wine in a newely [sic] designed bottle
I'm sorry, but I just can't help thinking that your suggestion (together with your ID) indicates that you're either incredibly brave, naive, a nuisance, a total troublemaker, or perhaps just plain stupid!!!! :ooh:

Hopefully the Forum mods will step in and establish some ground rules for this thread (or perhaps shut it down?) really quickly before it gets (predictably I think) totally out-of-control!! :}

Who gives a f**k mate. I'm sick of people in this industry who who think thier sh*t don't stink because they fly an aircraft (which is how you are coming across to me anyway).

Your original question was answered in this thread by one of the Mods for the C/C Forums. About halfway down page 1. I don't even give this thread even that long...

IMAGINE how boring this would be without us! OMG! A thread was even started talking about our threads! :p

OCCR 24th May 2009 13:23

good one sistema:ok:

now lets post some real garbage to really annoy this creature/

I'd say that very soon funbags will make an appearance on this thread as IT will not be able to help Itself!..............and then ITS cousin or brother Heads Up or Down will make some hideous post about nothing....

alidad 24th May 2009 13:36

Lets have a competition to name a new site for them:

Flight Attendants Gossip Symposium otherwise known as FAGS................(now where is Pauline Hanson when you need her)

Post could show CC related

I don’t mind the Cabin Crew (CC) posting here just wished the subject/title about their post would give some indication that is CC related.
I have opened lots of threads lately thinking they are pilot related to find I was wrong. eg-

"Anyone explain what was done to the EBA behind our backs?" or "QF SH/LH Temp Transfers"
It’s hard enough filtering out what thread is worth reading on PPRuNe, considering some peoples constant dribble, without having to guess if it relates to your employment/profession.

Unfortunately, certain of the QF cabin crew wore out their welcome in the Cabin Crew Forum and ended up back here. A number of them, but not all, are very negative and vindictive towards Qantas, egotistical and self centered attitude and are incapable of rational, reasonable, logical debate.

Those who blame the company may be part of the problem, not part of the solution. If they don't like working for Qantas, for the life of me I can't understand why they don't simply leave and get another job they do like!

I too have no interest whether FAs wear white jackets or jeans and tee shirts - it is the quality of courteous service and safety that counts.

I try to limit the number of FA threads, merging where ever possible. It is very annoying and frustrating when a new thread is started on fundamentally the same topic as an existing thread. Some users are addicted to the sound of their own key boards! :ugh:

I am not opposed to reasonable, intelligent, rational FA threads. Regrettably, they are few and far between.

Expect more thread merges, closures or thread deletions.
