yes a very nice brand spanker.. does being red make it go faster?

id like to fly it...

sinala1 11th Sep 2007 09:02

It's beautiful... went onboard it in YBBN today, very schmick looking piece of equipment! The flight deck feels bigger than the B737 - there is room to swing a cat if one so desires :}

Any word yet on what other routes the E - Jet's will be deployed on?

orangepeel 1st Oct 2007 04:07

Anyone heard anything about recruiting for these JJ's?

What about the internal recruiting and the external recruiting - has that started as yet?

What is the feel out there about the JJ's? where they are going to be deployed? Overnights they are expected to do?

Ta:}

Yeah, expect a lot of Syd overnights until the company can convince crew to take a Syd base on EMB pay. Plenty of CBR stops too, with 16 sectors per day between the two cities.

littlehurcules 1st Oct 2007 07:40

Well - will be interesting times ahead to see how they crew the planes ....

See how many people take up the SYD JJ Command .... i hear there is not much $$$ to go there ... considering the cost of living ....

Anyhow - intersting times ahead - more planes coming, more crews required ..... more pilots available ?:ugh:

whats the pay again?

ill move back to sydney

littlehurcules 1st Oct 2007 07:45

Click the Search button my friend ... and you shall find the pay scales ...

shake a tree and see what falls out.... interestng times to see when the Ejets going to eg: DU, WG, MA (all CTAF's) with MCL in the RH seat .... :rolleyes::ouch::eek::confused::uhoh::mad::hmm:

Yusef Danet 1st Oct 2007 09:10

EMB pay is 80% of the same position's 737 pay. If you're thinking of joining I would look hard at either A320 operator before taking the EMB.

Most EMB flying will be between ports already served by VB's 737s, although not necessarily on routes flown by 737s. Once a few 190s arrive the 170s can start the real regional routes, but they will be in the minority.

Who and Where is the maintenance base for them?.

VBA Engineer 3rd Oct 2007 16:47

Inhouse Line Maintenance through Virgin Tech under the new B1 and B2 licences.

Phase checks at either Melbourne or Brisbane hangars.

Heavy Maintenance?

48 hour Daily and no engineering Pre-Flight.

BubbaJ 19th Oct 2007 03:49

Any more news on recruitment for the E-jet? Has anyone had an interview specifically for the EMB is it all still 73??

I would be quite happy to sit in the RH seat with a Sydney base it's a foot in the door right?? Bit over 2000TT, 700+ Multi Command mostly turbine and multi crew experience.

Not a whisper from VB is it my low total time?? Anyone in the know??
