Question Sunair. What's your opinion?

Hi all,

I've noticed that in a few of the recent posts Sunair has been getting quite the mention. So I thought it time to start a thread dedicated to the boys and girl of this wee airline.

What is your opinion regarding this company? What about the pilots that fly (or at least try to) there? Why is it that none of the regionals want these pilots? What is up with the QA side of things? Etc. Etc. Anything else you would like to add (I know there is a whole lot of you out there with differing views on this company) so let them have it.

Well what are they? "Best pilots" or " at least try to fly"
Do you think they can utilise any more pilots. Four pilots in Hamilton alone. Pilots there are rapidly losing their patience.
But what would I know?

"Why is it that none of the regionals want these pilots?"

I doubt this is true, at the moment the regionals don't want many pilots.
If you are refering to the fact that 2 guys from Sunny have failed Eagle interveiws then I wouldn't get to upset, they have only wanted 1 from Mountain Air and 0 from GBA in the last 12 months as well. Eagle seem to like these chaps from Ardmore flying flying school, perhaps you Sunair chaps have to much multi/IFR/actual time and not enough ardmore circuit time he he he.

The fact is that at the moment the regionals can afford to be fussy and it is a matter of your CV turning up on somebodys desk at the same time they are thinking of running a ground course, I would seriously doubt if there is some sort of "bad rep" about pilots from one particular GA company, then again the big M does spring to mind. Most NZGA companys are all as crappy as each other, crap gear, crap pay, crap routes, crap rosters, crap bosses.

Anyway enuf crap.
