Question Aussie CRJ pilots with FAIR (Japan) from where?

Am hearing quite a few Strines on the r/t with FAIR - a Japanese commuter airline that connects with some All Nippon (ANA) flights.

According to a JCAB (Japan Civil Aviation Bureau) inspector, there are about a dozen Aussies based in Sendai with FAIR. Just wondering in what capacity they have been employed, and where they came from, ie. which operator prior to their Japan stint?

I trust the guys are enjoying Japan . I recieved a missed call off one of them the other night, sounds like they must be checked to line. Kaptin M, I think you'll be hearing a few more Dunnunda accent's with a few guys being lured over to the ANA Dash8-400 operation.

Talking to a few of the guys thinking of going over and it sounds like an interesting and thorough conversion process

Unhappy

Apart from the steadily reducing pay on offer, eh Hoss?

You know what I mean?

Yes Jarse, it's a shame that the goal posts seem to be changing for those involved.

Ironically, my mate called not long after the last post and had a great chat on how things were going. After 3 months of converting licences and ground school he is just about to start his Simulator training. Wow, sounds like they do things quite differently over there compared to here. What a great experience anyway .

To all the guys over there, best wishes to you all with the rest of your training and checks and don't let those JCAB guys give you a hard time .

I heard from one of the agencies south of the equator that they weren't prepared to touch the Fair contract as the pay weren't fair. I thought that was quite cute, considering their best efforts to lower salaries in Nippon.
