I stand by my post. Forget the flying experience, I know of at least 3 that didn't have the minimum requirements regarding education. The same requirements that prevent some Eagle and Air Nelson people from getting an interview with Air NZ. And it doesn't make sense to say that there is no advantage in being employed by an Air NZ feeder in the first place. Normal airlines the world over with half a brain attempt to recruit from within.

If you remember at the time of Qantas NZ going broke Air NZ made a big thing of giving interviews to those now out of work. My point is that the recruitment appears mickey mouse when they hoist a bunch of requirements and then drop them at a moments notice. And those at Air NSN and Eagle want jobs with Air NZ - that's why many of the joined the regionals in the first place. I am sure if someone at Air NZ said "I know it's arse about face but join Qantas because thats where we'll be recruiting from" many more would have done so.

Sorry.....been away for a awhile.

....now, what are you whining about NZER?
OK, so if what you say is true, then I stand corrected, sorry.
...and I'm also sorry that you feel the need to slag off at me, when my post certainly wasn't either anti-KIWOK or anti-Oz, for that matter, just a shot at as*-kissing practices.
....and I'm also sorry that you are so angry. Can I get you an asprin or something, little fella, mmmmmm?

A well balanced Aviation Industry has a chip off both shoulders???. I believe that this is a well demonstrated sentiment by the posts I have read here. Can't wait for the Rugby World Cup!!!

AAh yes.....mmmmmmmmm.....thanks guys for your feedback. its encouraging to learn that ozzie airlines do hire non-ozzie pilots afterall. I never doubted that in regards to racism or anything, but was just curious as to what the % of non-ozzie pilots you have flying with you all.

Just tell me this. Do you get to fly with crews whose background are Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and all?

The last time I rode in an Air NZ jumpseat as a young wannabe many years ago, I distinctly recall that the capt was American and the FO was Mexican!
