I would say that 95% of QF 767 drivers turn their lights off when another a/c is on approach. Whilst a fair percentage are being prats in the flightdeck most skippers are courteous externally.

Excellent post, I can't agree with you more. All airlines have their dills who can't help themselves and make a snide remark, perhaps some
little boys should grow up and have some manners!
As far as I'm concened, I just get on with operating my aircraft without any of this rubbish.

Nunc est bibendum
It was a 'wink' Gnady! I konw you don't discriminate. You get stuck into all sides with equal amounts of venom. OK, maybe a bit more for the QF side. (Note the wink this time!!)
Hear hear RaTa, and spot-on Hugh.
In AS recently I did my usual botch of a radio call while getting belted around coming over the ranges in the heat. That's fine, I can handle that, but the "kindergarten ....." smartie remark from a 73' was a bit silly.
Anyway, did I mention I believe in karma?
The very next day after landing rwy 12 again at Alice, VXJ landing 30, (oh did I mention it was the same a/c), makes a "funny" remark to the tower that the atis qnh is around 12 hPa incorrect, and should be rectified. Tower asks him what qnh he has, and in turn asks me what qnh I had. QF overtx'ed ATC and then proceeded to get bollocksy when I tx'ed ATC's request back to them after HE had finished speaking.
The silly thing was that someone had slipped-up on the flight deck of the jet to the tune of 360 feet worth of mistakery in a procedural environment.
Being "one-up" on someone is not worth the angst.
only to get compliance and a flippant remark.....

Jarse it's true. Had some smallish wrx-type speed past me on General Holmes Drive tracing the perimiter of yssy with those damn bright driving lights on.
The sticker on the back window: "JETPILOT"
The number plate: "FLY767"
I'm not kidding.

Standing at an ATM one early morning, a car (new but nothing exotic) pulled up with the plates, you guessed it! ""PILOT"
Couldn't help but stike up a conversation with him. A BK instructor...
I guess you can't be too harsh on youthful enthusiasm, as long as he "Learnt" as he got on in his carreer!

375ml,
If "those damn bright driving lights" were a concern to you, it was definitely not a WRX unless an expensive after market job had been done. The fog lights stock on the WRX are about as bright as a couple of old ladies holding candles. I found them totally useless and replaced them with decent lights.
BTW, it wasn't me annoying you!!
