Jayne Hrdlicka to step down
Very ominous. It must be hard to sell a debt laden airline to the public when you come across as a hard nose b!tch with little empathy. She wont be missed. But now there is an opening for Joyce to return to running an Australian airline.
The issue at hand here, is that the whole PE playbook is being disrupted. The listing is overdue. This has now become a long term investment, completely against the whole aim here, the lipstick is only half applied but the remainder keeps rubbing off, and the PE owners are getting fidgety.
PE will stump up the next person on very strict rules. Stand in the way prior to a market listing, then good luck. Afterwards, nobody cares, the ship has started to sink regardless, so do as you please.

The world is moving on from hours seen at work, it’s a poor metric of performance, unless your a pilot
If she was a good CEO then…..
However if what you read is correct (ok some of it must be) she has left a path behind at all.
What do companies see in CEO’s like this when the track record is out there?
Virgin now has a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to move forward IF they replace her with a fair dinkum great CEO. The board needs to be thinking the likes of Herb and the style of years gone past.
Can Virgin beat Qantas to pick up staff morale and turn back into an airline of…..
An incredible opportunity that will be………..

Anyone who has been on the VA payroll before needs to be kept well away. Let me just say that again, anyone who has been on the VA payroll prior needs to be blacklisted. I see Merren’s back in town unemployed. Start looking for a new job the day she gets involved again.
Scurrah failed miserably in his turnaround attempt prior to collapse so he is another to keep at distance.
You will get all these old leaches from the failed prior era attempt another tilt. Considering the $$ at play for a float, I doubt Bain would let those people anywhere near it.
