Network Aviation - Project and Programs Manager

So what's all this about? Are they introducing a new type?

Together we’ll achieve the introduction, roll out and delivery of the aircrafts into the Network Aviation business

One fish, many fish. One sheep, many sheep. One aircraft, lots of aircraft. Another barely literate manager writing copy.

You beat me to it. When people use “aircrafts”, it drives me nuts.

"Our team is made up of people who understand our business inside and out,"

Except the "aircrafts" bit!!

(Even autocorrect wanted to put an apostrophe in there)

15 x A319 ‘aircrafts’ reportedly coming. Not sure who’s going to fly them, reckon that would be job no.1 for this Project Manager!

In the world of modern corporate speak it could mean anything, not even necessarily involving new aircraft introduction. It may be a "project" to procure and install a new expresso machine in the office.
But the ad seems to be a replacement for a existing position rather than a brand new "exciting" expansion, so probably business as usual, whatever that business is.

They'd need to find another 50% above what they have now just to crew them - plus C/Crew and engineers too. Given that you'd have to say the old Dutch Oven doesn't have much time left.

I keep seeing ads on FB for DEC for the F100 with a $20,000 sign on bonus. So they are persevering with that type it seems.

Probably for a few years whilst the transition between aircraft occurs. I’d say it’s because they have a shortage right now, a DEC means no training expense even if you use them for a short time. The bonus offered at the start of the year was $15k. As predicted that wasn’t sufficient to attract the desired numbers, I doubt whether an extra $2500 after tax will attract many more.

Network's F100 replacement plan was probably QQ's E190s, but with that project delayed by the ACCC, they will keep them on as long as they can get the parts to support them - and indications are that there are real limits particularly in supporting the Tays if they need work. Until then, little choice but to keep the F100s going until QQ comes inhouse. The A319s may replace some F100s, but any frames it releases will be chopped up to keep the others going, just as VARA have done.

That's one of the most poorly written job adds I have ever seen.
