One of our avionic engineers was responsible for the electrical work on the replica during its build at Parafield, Ed de Groot.

A few years earlier, when I was still a HOFO, he kept bombarding me with job applications. His cv stated that he could fly anything, any time, anywhere, and would do so if someone cooked his dinner and gave him a bed. That offer alone automatically disqualified him.
With 32000 hours it was certainly a cv that got my attention - hence I remember it clearly.
I never saw a copy of his licence or logbook to back up his claims.

Sadly, these days it’s difficult to tell if a superficially credible but actually dubious post is the product of AI, a phishing exercise or the output of the mind of someone with Walter Mitty syndrome, rather than the ‘real deal’ who happens to have some confused, fading memories.

If ‘baylover’ is the ‘real deal’, I earnestly hope his loved ones are taking good care of him.
