Melbourne has gone TIBA and CTAF

Melbourne has become a CTAF due “operational restrictions”. What a sh!t show that’ll be first thing in the morning.

Don't forget to watch out for that tree which infringes the take off surface by "up to 0.66FT".

I remember Brisbane going through TIBA about a decade ago...urghh...that was painful.

Gold! It seems Melbourne tower gets more than their fair share of evacuations, if that’s the reason. Time for a new toaster me thinks….

I remember when the fire alarm went off at Oakey approach, they evacuated.

Never got so many IFR movements completed in IMC to minimas before or since 😂

Back in the early 2000's running Night Freight in the old Metro. YSSY was a CTAF and north to YBBN was TIBA. It was the most efficient movement of freight ever. Good times.
