I’d be more concerned about my boat riding out the “massive” tsunami that hit the Australian coastline. Probably more of a tsunami of surfers trying to take advantage of it.
In March of 2020 I had all but been accepted for a position at Real Tonga airlines. Covid put a quick stop to that, probably a blessing in disguise.
Just wondering if they had in fact restarted? This can’t be good if the poor buggers were just getting back on their feet.

I'm wondering how ready the Canberra or Adelaide are for this, or even where they are currently deployed. Be great if they were putting to Sea soon.
Surprised there is still no low level view of this in the news. Tonga is in ready flying distance from Auckland, and RNZAF can go on to nearby Fiji to refuel/base if required. Likewise RAAF. I know the NZ Navy runs to just two mainstream frigates, but one must surely have been on active availability and making warp factor speed for there. At 30 knots it should take them just 2 days from New Zealand. Where is it ? And what about Australia ? USA ? UK ? France from Tahiti ?
