Hazelton Airlines

What made the Hazelton family decide to list the airline on the stock market back in the early 90’s, was it to try an expand with deregulation?

They had a big cut back in operations in 1991 due to the recession, and they also lost money trying to run into Avalon at one stage as well.

In The Weekend Australian article, Max mentions that the worst thing they ever did was list on the stock market.

Great to see Max being recognised for his long and illustrious career in GA. Did my ag with him at Cudal in 1971. It was an impressively run operation and the training was great. cheers,

Max was part of the NSW 'rat pack' many years ago! Max, Don & MacKnight, the latter never went down the path of the big league! Ah those where the days-)
