Sharp - Qantas insolvent (V2.0)
Sharp - Qantas insolvent (V2.0)
Just for those who wanted to keep this discussion going seeing as the original disappeared.
As previously stated in the AFR, John Sharp has made some dubious claims that Qantas has been trading insolvent during the pandemic etc etc.

I received a message in regards to the thread. I took the decision to remove it.
It was based around incorrect facts being posted. Be mindful of incorrect figures being put up.

I'm all for making sure the facts are right we should also be mindful that the thread started on the basis of JS twisting the facts. Would have thought the best thing to do was just remove the erroneous posts. The thread was more about the original FR article than load factors anyway. It was certainly entertaining if nothing else.

It wasn’t the admin. I deleted it. I don’t have the time this week to be chasing up posts of others then defending them. I wish I did have the time because I would.
The issue raised by someone didn’t come from the Rex side either. Discussing false claims upset someone. However as I said, take it up with the newspaper who published it. We are entitled to discuss it. Regardless I think the tone on display was pretty clear, we don’t side with these Rex claims.
If you have an issue with the claims by all means take it up with the editor of the Australian Financial Review who let him write his own opinion piece.
