South Korea has just announced it will allow citizens to enter their country quarantine free, provided they've been vaccinated. A country that has a similar covid profile to Australia's yet is understanding the science will allow the vaccines to do their thing whilst enabling it's citizens movement. What a novel idea.

So will SloMo still entertain and promote the idea of a bubble with South Korea now that quarantine isn't required buy other travellers coming in from other countries?

Again, Australia drifts further and further away in the rear view mirror.

At the moment, that privilege is only granted if a persons vaccination was received in South Korea. However, it’s a good start.

How is 200-600 cases every day for the last 4 months similar to local eradication?

Any bubbles will only occur with places that have also eradicated local transmission.

I live in Korea. I’d suggest in a country of 50 million people, in a space less than the size of Victoria, most of whom live in high rise accommodation, 200-600 cases a day with no exponential rise, is no worse than the spread of any flu virus.

Case numbers are meaning less and less every day - soon they won’t mean much - deaths / hospitalisations are more important.
