I think in his excitement, the OP saw the second last sentence..... “A key to our success has been the timely customer service from Textron Aviation, who has already been supporting Pel-Air’s King Air fleet for the past 10 years in the Ambulance Victoria contract.”.

10 years or 10 aircraft..mere details. ..

And two Pilatus PC24's for 2023 delivery as covered in REX Briefing Notes to Shareholders on Friday. One Kingair will be withdrawn on delivery of the PC24s.

How does it work? Does pel-air contract to RFDS for this operation?

What about the Dubbo base? Is that also operated by Pel Air ?

i don’t know but my guess is Pel Air will operate the Sydney and maybe Dubbo bases while RFDS keep Broken Hill.

Dubbo and Broken hill are specific RFDS bases. I imagine Dubbo is mostly unaffected.

Mascot is specifically NSW Ambulance, of which RFDS is a contractor to provide the aviation (not sure about medical) side of it.

If you work for Pel Air for the NSW Air Ambulance contract, you have nothing to do with RFDS.

Pelair might have plenty of Sydney drivers knocking on their door for a job when Tiger dumps a heap of drivers!
interesting times ahead-

That’s true however if the current RFDS Sydney pilots like what Pelair offer there will be no spots for Tiger drivers or anyone else for that matter. As you said interesting times ahead 🤔

If the Victorian air ambulance change to Pelair is any example to go on then one would imagine not many of the RFDS crew would jump to the Pelair Offer !!
Like Vic Air Ambulance the medical staff are all employees of the Ambulance service.

Yeah sure Dyna considering the airlines at the moment are de-recruiting. The movement is in the negative so where do they bail to? Centrelink? And obviously you have all the gen on what Ts and Cs will be!!!
